Mission and Discipleship: A Learning Community

We have recently become part of a Learning Community, in partnership with the Cairn Movement, as we seek God’s leading in the company of other mission-focused churches across Scotland. We are changing to become a missional community, focused on creating a discipleship culture in which we all – through small groups – become Jesus’ apprentices. We are always learning, always growing. It’s a new way of living.

We have a local mission plan, under review, which aligns us with the Five Marks of Mission:

  • Witness to Christ’s saving, forgiving, reconciling love for all people
  • Build welcoming, transforming communities of faith
  • Stand in solidarity with the poor and needy
  • Challenge violence, injustice and oppression, and work for peace and reconciliation
  • Protect, care for and renew life on our planet
